An LPGA Highlight for Fraser – The Women’s US Open at Erin Hills Golf Club, Wisconsin
After sealing the Home Soil Hat-Trick last weekend, Fraser Riddler — along with the Event Caddie cap — is taking a well-earned breather before heading to Ontario, Canada for next week’s Canadian Open. We caught up with him during this short break to reflect on the LPGA season so far, from major championship moments to lion mascots in football shirts.
Major Memories & LPGA Season Highlights
For Fraser, the LPGA Majors are always a thrill. This year brought new stops, including the spectacular Erin Hills and the windswept Royal Porthcawl. But one memory stands out above the rest: “Seeing Emily play with confidence and contend at the Evian Championship was special,” he says.
A Caddie’s Favourite Turf
Erin Hills earns the top spot in Fraser’s personal rankings so far. “It was a tough setup — you had to be strategic on every shot. It was rare you could aim straight at the pin. You were always playing to sections and areas. It made you work very hard as a caddie,” he explains.

On- and Off-Course Moments
Some of Fraser’s favourite memories this season aren’t just from his own bag. “Watching Josh [Udelhofen] guide Jennifer Kupcho to their first win together was cool,” he recalls. Away from competition, it was strolling through the streets of Evian with his wife, overlooking Lake Geneva and the French/Swiss Alps, that provided the perfect reset.
Challenges on Tour
The LPGA calendar is relentless, and Fraser admits that nearly 10 weeks away from home in a row is one of the toughest tests. When Emily’s form dipped mid-season, his focus was on positivity. “It was more mental than anything else, so I kept encouraging her to believe in her ability. I reminded her the hard work off the course will show benefits on the course.”

Inside the Bag
Alongside the usual clubs and kit, Fraser and Emily have some unique gear — a 7-wood to attack par 5s in two shots, and a small lion wearing a FC Copenhagen shirt. “Emily and her family are SUPER fans!” Fraser laughs.
Behind the Ropes
Fans often see the final product on TV but rarely the hours behind it. Fraser describes 12-hour days, seven days a week, packed with prep, mapping, and strategy. “Players work out, do physio, recovery — often with travelling physios. Caddies are there before players, organising, checking pin placements, and often back out after rounds to walk the course again. It’s intense, especially with back-to-back weeks and long-haul flights.”
Looking Ahead – LPGA Highlights
The rest of the season has plenty to look forward to, with Fraser eyeing leader boards and the Asia Swing: “Four different countries in four weeks — Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur to Japan. It’s fun, but tough. No days off and the temperatures change drastically. But we’ll keep pushing for improvements and, hopefully, top finishes.”
A big thanks to Fraser for giving us the inside scoop on the LPGA season highlights – we can’t wait to see how the rest of the tournaments unfold! Watch all the action, insights, and behind-the-scenes moments on our social media pages.
